3 Day First Aid at Work
Overview
This 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course is our most comprehensive programme, designed for nominated first aiders in higher-risk environments like factories, construction sites, and industrial settings.
Delivered in line with the Approved Code of Practice L74, it meets the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Ideal for employers who want to fulfil their legal obligations and ensure the safety of staff, customers, and visitors, this course provides in-depth training and practical skills for a wide range of emergency scenarios.

- The role and responsibilities of a First Aider
- Managing an emergency effectively
- Understanding first aid regulations and key legislation
- Adult CPR and resuscitation techniques
- Dealing with head, spinal, bone, muscle, and joint injuries
- Treating bleeding, burns, and scalds
- Managing seizures, asthma, and severe allergic reactions
- Recognising and responding to chest pains and shock
- Handling poisoning, stroke, fainting, and low blood sugar
- Providing care for unresponsive casualties and choking incidents
- Eye injury management and safe record-keeping after an incident
Certification
Upon successful completion, candidates receive a nationally recognised and accredited qualification, valid for 3 years.
