Risk Assessing
Overview
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have said ‘Risk assessment is not about creating huge amounts of paperwork, but rather about identifying sensible measures to control risks in your workplace’.
Under UK law, all organisations with 5 or more staff are required to carry out written health and safety risk assessments covering all significant hazards. These risk assessments allow potential hazards in the workplace to be identified, and their severity assessed, allowing for the necessary precautions to be put in place.
This Risk Assessment training course raises awareness of what risk assessment is and how it may be conducted, in accordance with the advice from the HSE.
