Safeguarding Children Level 2

Overview

All professionals have a key role to play in safeguarding children and young people. Section 11 of the Children Act places a statutory duty on key people and bodies to make arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of those they come into contact with.

If you work frequently with children and/or their families, it is essential that you have an up-to-date knowledge of child protection procedures.

This Advanced Safeguarding Children course will help to increase your existing safeguarding knowledge and teach you more about what’s involved in the safeguarding process. The course will remind you how to identify harm/abuse and report concerns, you will also learn more about the safeguarding framework, recognising risks and what happens after a referral to social care has been made.
